You have probably seen me around for a while but maybe this little area of the DMC Email Update will give you a little more insight into who I am. My plan for this spot is little encouragements to brighten your day each week, so here we go!

Who am I? I am a daughter of the King! (Yes, and the pastor) I’ve been contemplating busyness this week. Why is it that when we are busy, when our schedule fills up to astronomical busyness, the first thing we shove out of our lives is God? My schedule has gotten fuller, what with me still being in high school and starting a job, but I don’t want my inability to manage time to affect my relationship with God. I’ve found that whenever my life gets busy, I shove God to the back burner and say, “I know you’re there, and I’ll come back to you, but just wait for me to get my life under control. Once everything is peaceful again I’ll come to you.” Yet Jesus is the giver of peace. Perfect peace. So why would I wait? That’s my encouragement for this week: don’t wait. Instead of waiting for peace to just happen to you, seek out the source of perfect peace.

I recently started working the secretary/office position at Duchess Mennonite Church.
