This week I have been reflecting on the names of God. I remember learning when I was a wee girl in Sunday school that the first name God gave for Himself in the Old Testament, YHWH, was so holy to the Jewish nation that they would not even speak it aloud. This is a stark contrast from the crude misuses of God\u2019s name in our culture today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God\u2019s name has so much <\/em>power. At His name, darkness burns away. At His name, sickness retreats. At His name, demons tremble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Call upon that name. YHWH, Elohim, Yahweh Yireh, El Elyon, Yahweh Shalom, El Shaddai.
