This week Secretary\u2019s Corner will be a little shorter than usual because it\u2019s Christmas and the secretary is celebrating with her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, on the theme of family, I realized in the last year that I have a very\u2026unique family, to put it mildly. On my mom\u2019s side, when my cousins come for Christmas, we get together for many days, just enjoying each other\u2019s presence. I was talking with my sister and we were na\u00efvely surprised to discover that not everyone gets together for ten straight days, and it made us sad. Now, I\u2019m not saying you must get together for days to connect, but it seems like our culture pushes loneliness and solitude, and in a season of celebration, it is good to be intentional. Take the time you have and pour into it. Whether it\u2019s family, friends, invest in them. The people you love won\u2019t be around forever. Make your time count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
