(And anyone who has seen my photography skills know I need all the help I can get…) We switched, I took her phone off to France, didn’t break it, (which is a feat in itself) and when I got home we eventually got around to switching it back.

Now, when we did the original transfer, we were able to each keep all our original data, for the most part. However…when I came back, we weren’t able to save everything. So I backed up my phone, wiped it, and restored it from said backup. I saved most of my info, but the biggest thing that did not come with the transfer was all my music.

I was quite sad about this. I lost all my playlists and the carefully-selected albums from our family’s musical repertoire, which meant going and doing all that work again.

The Christmas season busied everything considerably, and I didn’t get around to fixing my lack of music until this week. Now that I finally have music back on my phone again, I have listened pretty much non-stop since. I…kind of like music. If you couldn’t tell.

This, once again reminds me to spend time in the quiet. Because apparently it discomfited me so much that I had to counteract it with days straight of music. However, I think there are also benefits to this problem.

I find that my memory is pretty good. I can recall lyrics from years and years ago with no trouble, and I have memorized so many Bible verses through the Seeds Family Worship (now Seeds Kids Worship) albums I listened to while falling asleep throughout my childhood.

I also find that music is an easy way for me to emotionally connect to things, and that worship music is a way I connect with the Lord. I love analyzing music lyrics, and when I sing/listen to worship music I love dissecting what it is saying about who Jesus is.

Anyway…this was kind of a random Secretary’s Corner. I don’t think there’s really a life lesson here, except maybe that procrastination can deprive you of many things (maybe music).

Blessings on your week!

So before I ventured across the ocean in September, my mother offered to switch phones with me, so I would have access to a better camera for pictures.
