Secretary’s Corner 29 – June 12

I was talking the other night with some people about community. I realized all the sudden how valuable community is, and how valuable a church family is. I spend a lot of time in community, and I kind of took it for granted. I have lots of friends who are willing to spend evenings with me, pouring into me, helping me grow spiritually. And not everyone has that.

In a season of busyness, I can have times of rest and rejuvenation. In seasons of stress, I can find a peaceful, encouraging environment.

I am so blessed to have such a community around me; I never want to take that for granted.

So that’s my encouragement for this week: reflect on your community. Do you have people to lift you up, to build into your character? If not, how do you find it? If you do, what can you do to show your community your appreciation?
