Is it scary that death doesn’t scare me? When I think about dying, and the future, I’m more excited to be with Jesus than anything else. I’m not scared – at all.
I think this is a good thing…I mean, I don’t think living in fear of death my whole life is the answer, cowering away from anything that could hurt me. I would have a very boring life.
But I doubt I’m supposed to be reckless with my life either. I don’t need to go play chicken with a train or anything. I should rather be using the life I’ve been given for God’s glory.
I suppose for some people, God’s calling on their life can be dangerous. Sometimes it would even be deemed reckless, in cases like Corrie ten Boom’s or Brother Andrew’s, when God calls them to go through dangerous situations for Him.
But God’s calling and leading is always different than what we can come up with on our own. Where God leads us in our lives, we don’t have to fear anything.
