How do you live in the moment?
Right now I’m definitely struggling to not live in the past. I have fond memories I’m reminded of at every turn, and I just want to go back and relive them.
But I’m living now. I have a life now. It’s not just all in the past. I have so much to live for, so much to do.
I want to be conscious of this in my life. I embarked on adventures of a lifetime last fall, but I’m embarking on more adventures of a lifetime this fall!
Am I leaving the country to do so? Nope. Am I leaving my house for this adventure? Not so much.
Will I still love it, if I let myself let go of the past and run into the future?
Yes.
If you have learned anything about living in the moment during your life, I would gladly hear the story. Whether you’ve learned some valuable lessons or you know what happened when you learned to embrace the present, it would be helpful to hear.
Every week I give my thoughts about life and the Lord. So let me ask you: what do you think? What wisdom can you share? If you have more life experience than me (which isn’t hard to do, considering all you have to beat is 19), what have you learned?
